Tina Holmes
Tina Holmes is an actress who had her film debut in the movie The Edge of Seventeen and went on to play in 30 Days in the 90’s and other good movies. During her acting career she is most noted in her recurring role as Maggie on Six Feet Under, a series that is featured on HBO. Tina Holmes has also been on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and Third watch to name a few other television series. Tina Holmes learned how to become an actress while growing up in New York City and studying in Ivy League schools such as Yale University and Sorbonne in Paris. Tina Holmes moved to Paris after attending Yale University for a couple of years in order to further pursue her love of the arts including literature. Tina Holmes spent a great deal of time in school and after she returned to the states from her time living in Paris and going to the prestigious Sorbonne School, she attended Brown University and studied comparative literature and also went to the University of Pernambuco in the country of Brazil. Holmes gained a Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University for comparative literature.
Becoming an actress was no easy task for Holmes and when she graduated from Brown she took it upon herself to go back to Paris in order to take up a job as a research assistant. Her time as a research assistant was largely spent on a documentary about a poet, novelist, and famous playwright by the name of Jean Genet. While Holmes was in Brazil she also studied foreign language and documentary film making and worked as an intern at Good Machine, a production company. Other notable accomplishments are that she taught video to children that lived in homeless shelters after school in New York and also produced and directed her own documentary entitled You’re Nobody Until Somebody Loves You which was about women offering advice and support to each other through sharing different experiences with each other.
